The winter's come, I'm coming home, I'm on the flight, I'm landing soon
go grab a drink with all my friends, ask them all how they have been
becky's got a kid these days, funny how the times have changed
everyone looks older now, they've all grown up they've all moved out
is this what it feels like to watch the snow come down
forgetting all the things that made me up and leave this town
remember when every december
meant everyone was home
families and friendships made strong through the hardships
you never had to feel alone
but then it snowed
the colder air, the winter chill, everyone's got problems still
to me this place, feels far from home, when everyone's, left it to go
chase their dreams, in other place-s, across the sea, with newer face-s
the upstate wind, blew us away, to new cities, in other states
is this what it feels like coming home to barren waste?
at least back in atlanta I could still feel my face
remember when every december
meant everyone was home
families and friendships made strong through the hardships
you never had to feel alone
but then you're old
